If a couple has children, they must plan for custody and child support. It is possible to file a divorce WITH custody, support and other counts on the original complaint. Pennsylvania law does not require that the parties litigate/resolve these issues within a divorce. The Courts do provide a process to address custody and support issues if the parents cannot agree outside of the divorce. Either party may request Court hearings by the filing of the appropriate documents.
